"You can either earn it or you can learn about it to receive the precious gift of Salvation freely and therefore thank and praise the Lord for the rest of your life and even for eternity. But you cannot do both at the same time. Make sure you are saved by grace through faith and learn it again and again until you know that you know that you cannot earn it, but can only learn to receive the gift of God and can never lose it because you never earned it in the first place. Because salvation was never earned and could never be, now that you are saved by grace through faith you cannot boast about your work, but voluntarily you give all the glory to God for His work of salvation that He has worked in you altogether! If ever you feel like you want to boast, boast in the God of your salvation for eternity ahead. Feeling the urge to keep the salvation by works, even after knowing that we are saved and kept by grace is a spiritual disease that does not produce good works but only dead works of no value in the sight of God. So stay healthy spiritually by doing good works of faith that brings you eternal reward. Resist the selfish urge to work and earn, but let God work in what you learn to work out. Hallelujah!
