Manna for the Day

ℳαηηα ḟøґ тℌℯ Ðα¥ : "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13, NKJV).

Many times as we seek to please God with all our heart, in the passion of our activity we forget that we are doing it by His grace and strength. Then as we settle on with a mind that we have done much for God, then God allows our weaknesses to show up. Then the first question that arises in our mind, are we really worthy to be called a son of a holy God? Like the prodigal son we start to say to God and ourselves, "I am not worthy to be called your son, but at least let me be your servant forever." God in His love for us at that time embraces and starts to say to our heart, "My son it is I who works in you from the day I saved you from sin to the day you will be rewarded for all the good works that you have done in my name. I will love you and stay faithful to keep you in my ways until the end. Just learn to trust me and walk in my ways. You will be safe from all the harms of the enemy." O what a reassurance we get from our Loving Heavenly Father! May we always know that what ever we achieve in our life for God, from the starting to the end it is not our strength but it is God who is doing it to to fulfill His will and good pleasure. When we have this mind set, we will be able to overcome when our weaknesses shows up to discourage us, because of receiving much grace for being humble before God. THE PEOPLE WHO ARE DISCOURAGED IN LIFE DOING GOD'S WORK ARE THOSE WHO DO NOT REALIZE THAT GOD IS THE ONE WHO IS DOING IT THROUGH THEM. The sooner we realize, the faster we will enjoy doing God's work and will consider it as a privilege given to us.
